I had an amazing opportunity this evening to attend Plymouth's Inspiring Volunteer Awards. It is an annual event which recognises the amazing contribution that volunteers make in our local city.
The group I volunteer with to help improve cancer services in Plymouth, A Driven Force was nominated for an award for volunteer team of the year. Unfortunately we didn't win the award but we had a brilliant evening and received a medal for our nomination.
There were so many inspiring volunteers there of all ages this evening, it was great to mingle and find out about different charities and groups in Plymouth.
